The Tree of Life
Argan is a unique type of tree growing only in southern Morocco. It is resilient to the harsh African climate and grows without the need for much cultivation. The tree can often be seen climbed by mountain goats attracted to the black and dry fruits.
Argan is an important source of fuel and food for the Berber community and therefore it is locally call the “tree of life”.
Organic argan oil
Often called “liquid gold”, Argan oil is an organic product extracted from the kernels of the argan tree. It is extremely rich in beneficial nutrients including fatty acids and vitamin E. Its properties make it particularly beneficial for the hair and skin.
Extraction of the kernels is key to the argan oil production process. In order to extract the kernels, the argan fruits are first dried in the open air and then fleshy pulp of the fruit is removed.
Sometimes the flesh is removed mechanically without the need to dry the fruits. The flesh is usually used as feed for animals.
The extraction is semi-mechanical (not chemical), then the process of filtration and decantation are proceeded.
MAJI Organics provides “triple extra virgin grade” argan oil, which is the summum quality in the world (free acidity expressed by leonic acid is less than 0.5%)
